Dolce & Gabbana Mint 70 | Review

 Hello Angels
Its the weekend. Phew...finally! Time for plenty of sleep and fun. So here's my weekend treat for you lovelies.

I admire unique nail colors. Which means even if i see it on others, i make sure to compliment! Early Feb, i bagged this mint green nail paint from Dolce & Gabbana. Its called Mint 70. A limited edition release by D&G. Gorgeous gorgeous color and true mint. The packaging is Lush,  the only downside being the too long applicators. Using them is a tad bit difficult and uncomfortable. To me nothing beats Dior applicators.

The color is at its best under natural light. Hence, i would wear them mostly for day time occasions. They stay put for 4days decently. Cost $27.

So what do you think? Yay or Nay??!!

Narsissist Cheek Kit | Review

Hello Angels
Squeeeee.....what arrived this Sunday morning, put me on cloud 9! The Narsissist Cheek Kit. To satisfy my rather newly found love for Bronzers, i set myself on a hunt for the perfect one. The answer was quite loud and clear after my so called research. 'Laguna' seemed to have won many hearts.

A brand i have been keeping myself away from, NARS. I knew somehow i would end of up loving their products. Damage is done! I came across their perfect cheek palette. It houses a blush (Orgasm), bronzer (Laguna) and highlighter (Devotee). All 3 basic cheek products in one!

Laguna - I get the hype around this bronzing powder now. Looks rather chocolaty in pan but it is a warm, brown based powder diffused with gold shimmer. Perfect to create a tanned look or in my case for contouring. Very warm, not too dark makes it ideal for all skin tones and buildable too.

Devotee - Am in love! Though a powder, on application it brings in a very unique dewy, wet kinda glow. A wayyy better finish and glow compared to Mac's cream color base in Pearl and Benefits Watt's Up. The tiniest of amount brightens up your face. If it wasn't for this palette, i would have missed owning this absolute winner.

Orgasm - I don't own a single blush in Orgasm color family! Very different from my regular choice of pinks and nudes. This being a part of the palette, there wasn't a choice. The color is peachy orange with shimmer of course. I need a 'lil getting used to wearing this color. Tad bit confused if i can pull it off. That being said, it blends beautifully with Laguna. So after all i may end up using it decently.

Overall i am more than happy purchasing this palette. I can easily carry it around with me. And did i mention it comes with a blush brush too...win win!

Now let me do the math for you. The Narsissist cheek kit costs US$49 for 0.24oz. These are sold individually for approx US$38 for .28oz. Plus you get a blush brush in #20 with the palette. So it roughly costs the same as a single NARS blush. However, i prefer the cheek kit more as it gives me a bit of everything...

Are you a NARS fan? What's you fav NARS product?

MaxFactor & Givenchy Lipsticks | Review

Hello Angels
Lipsticks Lipsticks and more Lipsticks...the obsession doesn't stop! I was recently sent 2 Max Factor lipsticks. Never owned a  Max Factor lipstick before and these in particular didn't seem to interest me much either. But being the kind of make up addict i am, i surely gave them and was 'WOWED'....

The texture is uber smooth and moisturizing. I would say equivalent to a lip balm, but well well pigmented. The red one is called 'Ruby Tuesday' and pink 'Eternal Flame'. Out of the two, my pick would be Ruby Tuesday. It is such a gorgeous color. Red in itself is a stunner, and this one in particular looks amazing. Don't bother yourself with a lip gloss. Everything is taken care of. I love the embossing on 'em but the packaging though pretty is too light. I prefer the bullets slightly heavy. The swatches don't do justice to Ruby Tuesday, the color is much more vibrant than it looks on my hand.

Moving on from a drugstore lippie to a high end brand, Le Rouge Givenchy 203 Rose Dantelle. Got mine from Sephora. It was an impulsive buy to be honest. But i looooove the color. The formula is just about OK. I would say 6/10. Not very moisturizing and you will need to touch up. The packaging is one of a kind. The bullet is wrapped in real leather, bringing that extra extra glam & luxury.

Which among the above did you like?

Pink Love

Hello Angels
Am gravitating towards pink a lot lately. There was a phase when all you would spot me wearing was a red lippy and polish and now am reaching for all shades of pink. From lipstick - Blush - Nail polish.

Here are some of my most commonly reached for items this week. Since i have turned into such a nail paint freak, i cannot but stress on how much i love Essie's Lovie Dovie and Chanel's May. The latter was a gift from a dear friend on my b'day! Yes, she knows me veryyy well. It is a gorgeous muted pink and one of the best selling colors of Chanel. However, i am not a huge fan of  Chanel polishes when it comes to finish, compared to Dior.

Chanel cream blushers are must haves. The one i own is Inspiration (64). The texture is creamy but whilst application it turns into a smooth powdery texture, making it a dream to work with. They come in several beautiful shades from dark to light. Easily blendable with bare fingers. Pop into a near by store and give them a try.

Makeup Forever Mascara | Bobbi Brown foundation | Chanel Le Blanc Whitening Base | Chanel May Polish |  YSL Radiance Blush
Chanel Perfection Lumiere | Essie Lovie Dovie | Mac Pink Nouveau | Chanel cream blush Inspiration

Needless to say i incorporated all my favorite pinks and mandatory red for Valetines day special nail art...

So what's your favorite pink product? Be it a polish or nail paint. How do you like Chanel's May?

Happy Valentines Day my loves

The Body Shop's Hand & Foot Butter | Review

Hello Angels

Am gonna talk about feet today! Don't worry its stink free..........lol

My feet is the least cared for part of my body when it comes to moisturizing. They are extremely dry and my usual body lotion don't very well cater to their needs! And most importantly don't we all dream of smooth flawless looking feet? I do.

So i put myself on a mission and began googlin on foot care creams! The Body shop's Spa Wisdom hand & foot butter came across trending.

I have been using it for about 4 days now and there is evident change. My feet is super moisturized, looks healthy and taken care off! Key ingredients being honey and beeswax, pretty much explains the product's moisturizing ability.

I apply them before bed or after bath, but once a day sure. During weekends i have a routine of soaking my feet in hot water. So now i apply the butter after the cleansing process too. The texture is semi liquid buttery consistency. Very easy to blend. And can i just say it smells incredible! Mild yet delicious...

It is essentially a hand & foot butter but i use it more for latter. The packaging is cute. The jar is made of plastic and i like the air tight clasp.

All in all i am extremely happy to have found an almost perfect solution to my foot care dilemma. The product cost $23. Will last you over 2 months. So go ahead and get yourself one of these if you have been ignoring your foot too...

If not, tell me what products do you use.....

Valentines Day Special | Be your own Valentine!

Hello Angels
So how often does your boyfriend or husband get your VD gift right? If the answer is 'always', then gal your damn lucky! Else welcome to a more real world!

According to me, it is OK to pamper yourself! Not as a silly excuse to justify your shopping spree but on special occasions. Here are some gift ideas..
  • Spa Day. Treat yourself to a relaxing Spa day or massage. Nothing like it
  • Have an afternoon tea catch up with your girlfriend
  • Getting yourself that one makeup item from your wishlist (Tell me what it would be??)
  • Get yourself a real gift. How about Lush VD gift boxes? This year Lush has come up with beautiful gift boxes filled with some awesome treats. Below is one among them called the 'Neon Love'. It houses Turkish delight shower smoothie, From dusk till dawn massage bar and Neon love soap (cost $54) Prince Charming is another favorite of mine and a must have from Lush ( Click Here to read my review on Lush skincare). Good news for all UAE residents is that they do home delivery!! Spoil me more!!

  • Be creative - Why not try these Caviar Luxe polish from Ciate? Aren't they gorgeous? Let me tell you these Caviar polishes are surely not for everyday use. They are for special occasions. So don't expect them to stay put for 12hr. I tested them for a whole day, and they remained intact for a good 4hr. The trick is to apply them perhaps on fingers which we tend to use or exert less pressure. These golden beads came with a silver paint pot. They look gorgeous! (cost $43)
So what are you getting yourself this Valentine?? Tried Caviar polishes before?
